Below is a quick study of what goes into making our "scary good" reproduction historic tin cans.

 

Cutting the blanks for the cans out of sheet tin.

 

Rolling the blank on the slip roll to make the can round.

 

Soldering the side seam of the can using lead-free solder.

 

Cut squares to make the top and bottom of the can.

 

Cutting the squares into circles using our antique circle cutter.

 

Burring (turning a lip) the edge of the circle.

 

Fitting the top and bottom to the can.

Soldering the "cap" on the top of the 'hole in cap' can. (Circa 1850's - 1920's)

 

Soldering the pin hole on the 'cap' to seal the can.
